Ironhead XLH

This is one that I built around 5 years ago - it used to be red but my customer had his friend paint it black.. unfortunately I was too busy at the time.

Turned out nice! This looks much better.. especially with the Metallica mark! My customer is a die hard Metallica fan - Yeeeah!

'52 Pipes

I did another mod on this '52 FL.. remote oil filter, pipes, horn etc. (you can see the 'before' shots earlier in the blog). My customer got the pipes from Twisted Choppers - they're fine if you don't need to turn right... I shortened 'em 3 inches so now I can actually ride the thing. When fitting the pipes up in the first place there was also a small clearance issue - THE FRAME! They shaped the front pipe so that it goes right through the down tube.. nice.

Anyway, got all that sorted out & it's fine now.

While cleaning up bikes for registration, I dug this one out of the shed. It's been with us for a while - mainly because of worry warts.. "What if something breaks?" they ask.

I hafta laugh it off... I'll probably throw it in a rigid frame, toss the paint & run it 'til it lights itself on fire!

1939 four line Linkert M51L, restored.

After 5 different modern carb /

extension cominations that never quite tuned properly over the whole range, the OEM setup allowed me to get her tuned perfectly...
